Samuel was a pivotal prophet and judge in ancient Israel. Born to Hannah, who had prayed for a son, Samuel was dedicated to the Lord's service from a young age. As he grew, Samuel received divine visions and revelations, eventually anointing both Saul and David as kings. Samuel played a crucial role in Israel's transition from a confederation of tribes to a centralized monarchy under Saul and David. He faithfully served as a prophet, priest, and judge, providing godly leadership and guidance to the nation.

Hannah was one of the two wives of Elkanah. Deeply distressed by her inability to have children, Hannah prayed fervently to the Lord, vowing to dedicate any son she bore to His service. God heard her prayers, and she gave birth to Samuel. True to her vow, Hannah brought the young Samuel to the tabernacle and presented him to the priest Eli to be raised in service to the Lord. Hannah's story is one of profound faith and trust in God, even in the midst of personal sorrow.
